Admissions open for academic year 2019-2020from Playgroup to Class VII.
Admission Procedure:
1 – As a parent its highly important for you to first visit the school campus , where your child will be spending 5-6 hours of the day.
2 – Our counsellor will be glad to tell you everything about our school, the facilities provided, and moreover she will be happy to answer all queries that you may have as a parent.We suggest to bring your child along when you come for admission, because , your child should like the school, he should love coming to school everyday.
3 – Once you are thoroughly satisfied you can collect the admission form and prospectus , from the schools office (Admission Processing Fee Rs.1000/- shall be charged for the same.) or you can submit the online admission form.
4- Duly filled Admission form along with below mentioned documents and school fees needs to be submitted in schools office to confirm your child’s seat.

Academic year 2019-2020

BIRTH CERTIFICATE:
1 – For-admission in Pre- Nursery the student should complete 3 years of age by 30th Sept. Birth certificate from the municipal board/Block must be deposited at the time of Registration/Admission.
2 –For Nursery – 4 Years by 30th Sept. and hence force for all the other classes.


Tution Fee/ Charges: Deposit Rules:
1 – Fee Rules as given in the fee book should be strictly followed.
2 – Parents have the option to deposit fees for the whole year in advance.
3- If parents have any queries, they may Check with the school office
4 – Deposit of fee by children will not be accepted.
5 – A student will not be allowed to sit for any of the examinations unless all dues of the school are paid upto date.

RULES FOR WITHDRAWAL:
1 – Withdrawal, for whatever reasons, will forfeit the entire fee paid. Parents are required to carefully go through this condition for withdrawal before they admit their wards to the school.


SUSPENSION AND DISMISSAL :
1 – The Principal reserves to himself/herself the right to dismiss from the school any student, whose conduct is, in his opinion, against the moral tone of the school. Immorality in word or deed, willful damage to school property, grave insubordination, contempt of any authority, unsatisfactory progress in studies, lack of diligence, are sufficient grounds for dismissal. The principal is the sole judge regarding the dismissal of a student. Parents/ guardians, when they apply for their ward’s admission to L.K.S. are understood to accept his/her judgement in such matters as final.
2 – The Principal also reserves to himself/herself the right to suspend a student from attendance at the school and to determine the period of suspension, depending on the gravity of the misdemeanor.


PARENTS- TEACHERS MEET:
1 – The development of a child is a joint venture between the parents and the teachers. The parents are expected to come and discuss about their wards with the teachers on the ‘Open Day’ as per the School Almanac. The ‘Open Day’ enables a parent and a teacher to a menticulous, free and frank discussion regarding the child’s academic achievement, physical growth, emotional stability, psychological behavior and many other related areas influencing the child’s total personality development. CCA report is placed before the parents for perusal & information.

ASSESSMENT:
1 – The school has a system of continuous assessment and evaluation through Assignments, Unit Tests and Terminal examinations. The cumulative report card reflects all the marks and grades obtained by a student and at the end of the academic session the sum total of all tests, exams and assignments is taken into consideration for promotion to the next higher class. The pass percentage for a class is 40% in each subject. 80% Attendance will the compulsory for each student.

ABSENCE:
1 – All absence from school, even with prior permission of the Principal, must be explained by the parent, in the “Absence Record” which is a part of this prospectus, before it can be condoned and the student is admitted into the class. If the leave is more than three days, besides the note in the Prospectus, the explanation in a separate letter must be added and sanctioned by the Principal/Vice- Principal.
2 –An absence of a month or an absence of more than three days before or after a vacation, without prior permission, renders the student liable to have his/her name removed from the rolls.

THE GUIDELINES FOR PARENTS:
1 – Though a school can do a lot for a child, it cannot do everything. The home is a place where the child gets first education and training in citizenship. It is a chief place where his/her character is formed and developed. School education indeed promotes the growth of personality and helps to discover and develops the qualities that are in the child. In order to secure all that is best in the education of a child, maximum co-operation between the parents and the school authorities is necessary.
2 – The school desires to have your co-operation and close contact with the teachers of your child in order to develop an atmosphere that is conductive to better and more effective education. The dairy is one of the link which bridges the home and the school. It is an effective medium for parent-teacher contact.
A-Personal memo page should be carefully filled in by the parent at the beginning of the academic session. Change of residence should be notified to the school office immediately.
B-Parents are requested to look into the school diary daily and see that lessons and see that lessons and home work assigned for the next day are done. Remarks made by teacher/school authority should be seen and counter-signed regularly.
C-Absence of your child from class for attending social functions is discouraged because it retards the child’s progress and minimizes is his/her interest in regular school work.
D-Children should do their homework by themselves. They should not be helped in it by parents or by tutors unless they really need it. It is important that the children develop a habit of studying and working on their own.
E-Criticism of staff should be avoided in presence of the child because it undermines her respect for the staff and the school. Should you have legitimate complaint, please meet the Principal.
F-Giving presents to the staff or other demonstrations of gratitude or goodwill in their honour is not allowed.
G-Private tuitions are discouraged.
H-As the medium of instruction is English, children should be helped to follow their class easily by a certain amount of regular conversation in the this language at home.
I-Please see that your ward carries text/exercise books according to the Time Table for that day. No extra books are allowed.
J-Your ward should be instructed to be careful about her possessions. There should be a name tag on blazers and sweaters. Expensive articles should not be brought to school.
K-Parents should not argue with the teachers/other students or the conductor/driver present in the conveyance. If there is any problem, a written complaint to the Principal or Administrative office should be given.
L-Parents/Guardians of such students who do not avail school transport should report at the school’s gate 10 minutes before the school gets over to collect their words.
M-Our school is a poly bag-free zone. All parents are requested not to send or bring any articles like tiffin, stationary, craft articles etc. to school in poly bags.
N-Parents are requested to send students in perfect uniform always.
O-All students are expected to speak only English at school and we request the parents to encourage the students to do so at home as well.

THE STUDENTS CODE OF CONDUCT:
1 – All students shall bring the school diary to school every day. Parents are expected to check the diary and sign wherever required.
2 -English is the medium of instructions. In order to acquire proficiency in spoken English, all students must compulsory converse in English in school (and at home as far as possible).
3 –Nails must be cut regularly and kept short and clean.
4-Girls are only permitted white ribbons or bands to tie up their hair.

5-No piercing of any visible part of body is allowed except for girls who can get their ears pierced. Only a set of small earstuds may be worn.

6-No nose-rings or finger-rings or bangles are to be worn. Sikh pupils are permitted only thin ‘karas’.

7-Violence against a member of the school community will not be tolerated.

8-Destruction or damage by a pupil to any school/another’s property on the school campus will lead to strict disciplinary action.

9- The school upholds a ‘Zero-Tolerance’ policy towards any attempt to disparage another person’s religion, caste, culture or social or economic background. This also extends to any attempt to hurt to attempt to hurt the sensitivities of a person who is differently abled.

10-Late comers must bring an application from their parents/guardians otherwise they will be sent home. No child shall leave the school premises during school hours without the permission of the Principal and a gate-pass.

11-Care must be taken of all school property and no student should scratch, spoil the desks or chairs or damage any school furniture, write or draw anything on the walls or in any way of damage any things belonging to other. Students who are negligent will be charged for the damage.

12-Students suffering from any infectious disease must complete the quarantine period before rejoining school. This should be indicated on the medical certificate duly signed by a competent doctor.

13-Boys must have a short hair cut always. Long hair will not be permitted at school.

14-Students are not permitted to carry cell phones-pods, CDs, DVDs, e-games, pen-drives etc. They are not allowed to use school phones without permission. They cannot be called to school office to attend to phone calls during school hours.

15-Students are not allowed to leave the class without class pass and without permission of the teacher. While moving in between the classes in the corridors and while using the staircases, all must keep to the left. Students should move in a way that no class is disturbed. Loitering in the lobby and the office areas is strictly forbidden even during the recess.

16-Students are not allowed to receive private tuition from the teachers of the school. Parents are requested not to compel teachers to do so.

17-While taking the examination every scholar do so with utmost honesty. Recourse to any use of unfair means will be viewed seriously, resulting in awarding zero in the subject or even rustication from the school, depending on gravity of the matter.

Documents to be submitted along with the Admission Form:
  • 2 Passport size photograph each of Child, Father and Mother.
  • Parents ID proof and Address proof.
  • School Leaving Certificate (To be submitted in June 2019).
  • Report Card from previous school (To be submitted in June 2019)
